Mustangs, Corvette, Camaro, Subaru and Nissan.

The past 2 weeks have been pretty busy here at the shop, with a couple of exciting projects.
We had the Mustang Evolution for some preliminary tuning, the big v10 made some really good torque on the dyno, with some room to grow this thing should move pretty well around the track.

We also had a pretty neat customer track car come in for some upgrades, we did a clutch and light weight flywheel, ford racing cams, a boss intake and a few other little modifications. The car made decent horse power and should be a blast to track. The customer is going to shake down the car once the weather gets a little nicer around here and then upgrade the car from there accordingly.

We just recently had an 01 corvette z06 in for some tuning/troubleshooting, customer was having issues with the car passing emissions due to not having cats and a few other issues with it. In most instances we can tune the car well enough to pass emissions and pick up some extra horse power, however often times the only way around it is to put the cats or some high flow cats in. This car has a few underlying issues that needs to be sorted out before it goes on the dyno.

Like it is with all projects, they take time and usually need something before tuning. We sorted out a few little electrical gremlins and are on our way to get it on the dyno. Luke’s SR20 powered 240sx is extremely well put together. with the SR, a set of wide wheels and overfenders, it should be pretty quick.

The Big STI project is just about wrapped up, we are putting miles on the motor for break in and then it gets the final tune.

Lastly, Travis’ 69′ camaro has all the parts ordered for it, the motor is together and should be getting put together in the coming weeks!

Track car!

Season is here people!

Open tracking is a great way to get to enjoy your hot street car without killing the thing in a real fender to fender race and also without needing to gut it so far down that it is no longer fun to drive on the street.

This mustang is getting the foundation track day stuff installed.

A new oil pan, windage tray, oil pump and pickup, cross member, motor mounts, rear gears, aluminum radiator, under-drive pulleys and ac delete. These cars make fun and affordable track day cars. This one should be a good time.

MR2 Spyder Racer.

A 2zz swapped mr2 track car is in for some sorting out. Using a power FC for control. Last track outing showed some room for improvement, and we are looking to get this car to the front.

S375 turbo’d 2valve 4.6

In for tuning with a brand new turbo setup is this cool black 04. The car has been converted from a 5 speed to a 4r70w along with the proper ecu and wiring to take full control of the trans and engine useing SCT software. Other neat parts are victor “spider” intake manifold, Blitz ID boost control, ID1000 injectors, BA5000 maf, A1000 pump, tial gate and BOV, and then of the course the 375 turbo with a polished race cover.

The engine was built with good rods and pistons but the trans is still a question mark, so we wanted to stay around 450 rwhp until we can get a gear box in it that we know will hold up.

There was a lot of tuning time spent on the car. The conversion to return fuel system, big blow through maf, big injectors, all added up to a lot of work. At 9 PSI 18* timing 11.8 AFR the combo made 465rwhp before we figured that was good enough to get the rest of the car shook down and sorted for the track. It will also give the owner some seat time.

We at the shop all really liked the sleeper, low key aspect of the car.
