Today we have this custom machine in here for an adjustable electronic boost controller and different wastegate springs. The turbos are “remote mount” which means they are not under the hood as in most turbo applications; but rather placed in the rear of the car. The benefits in this application include cooler running temperatures for the turbos for efficient performance, better weight transfer as the bulk of the turbo system is in the rear, and less heat underhood which can melt or damage underhood components. After the new springs and controller are installed we are looking to achieve 11 lbs. of boost.
A little extra plumbing is necessary for this installation.
